Australian Shearing Industry Magazine

Ed 9 Update

I hope everyone had a happy and safe New Year and that you got to spend at least some of it in the company of good people.

Ringer is now utilising a new distribution process, where the magazine, when it is printed, is sent direct from the printers in Melbourne to a distribution agent, also in Melbourne. Initial feedback indicates that this new process is cutting 10 to 14 days off the delivery process, which has to be a good thing. Not to mention that it's one less job I have to do, giving me more time to find advertisers, which is the most time consuming component of getting the magazine out to you guys.

In an effort to take Ringer from basically being a hobby to a fulltime business I am looking into the possibility of sharing the role of Carer for my Dad. This would enable me to put more hours into Ringer.

Many readers have contacted me suggesting that I put a price on copies of Ringer, so I would like to take this opportunity to explain that I am COMMITTED to keeping Ringer free. I truly believe that changing this would be the end of the magazine. The fact that Ringer is free means that so many more of you have access to it.

I have also had readers asking how they can show their support for Ringer. The best thing anyone can do to show support is to shop with Ringer's advertisers when you can, and tell them you see their ad/s in Ringer. The next thing you can do is subscribe, the fee for this covers the distribution costs. I will also be putting together a supporter’s package soon, where those who want to show extra support can do so.

Thanks for all the feedback, it’s great to hear from so many of you.

Cheers

Ed
